Note: There are different (earlier) deadlines for those planning to participate in the University Graduation Ceremony.
December 16 (December 7 – ceremony) – Deadline for electronic submission of masters’ theses and doctoral dissertations to ProQuest for December 2018 graduates
November 26 (November 16 – ceremony) – Deadline for hard-copy submission of committee-approved masters’ theses and doctoral dissertations to the College of Sciences for review
November 12 (November 2 – ceremony) – Suggested deadline for masters’ thesis and doctoral dissertation oral defenses
Here’s the process for review by the College of Sciences:
- The Thesis/Dissertation is submitted hardcopy either single or double sided print along with the M2/M3 or D3/D5 signed forms to the Dean’s Office (OCNPS room 143). Include the journal guide if required and a completed sign in sheet (active ODU email address and the most used email address with a good contact phone number).
- Electronic submissions are accepted if the student is out of the area and cannot present the initial hard copy for review.
- Once the review has been completed/approved by the Dean’s Office, the student must follow the instructions to upload to ProQuest,
per the procedures found on page 4 of the ODU Guide, follow the steps found on page 13, to submit the manuscript to ProQuest.
